Tipton County is located in western Tennessee, north of Memphis. It is bounded by the Mississippi River on the west, along with Fayette, Haywood, Lauderdale, and Shelby counties in Tennessee. Covering 473 square miles, Tipton County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state. Founded in 1823, its population has since grown to ~62,000.
